Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) Team Visits University Of Energy And Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani

A 3-member team from the Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) lead by its Director Dr Kwaku Poku Asante, on Tuesday 19th January 2021 visited the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) in Sunyani, Bono Region. The visit was to initiate discussions for the two institutions to collaborate in conducting research and for KHRC to affiliate with UENR in the training of post-graduate students in areas such as Epidemiology, Public Health, Demography, and Medical Laboratory Sciences. This collaboration follows approval by the Ghana Health Service Council for research institutions under the Service to affiliate with the country’s Universities in the training of students. The team had a very fruitful meeting with the management of UENR, led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Elvis Asare-Bediako. Both institutions promised to work hard to achieve these goals within the shortest possible time. Professor Asare-Bediako also promised to visit KHRC with his team.
