Kintampo Health Research Centre is a well-established, African-based, research centre. The African identity of KHRC is important as it emphasises African solutions to African health challenges. KHRC is one of three field research centres of the Research and Development Division (RDD) of Ghana Health Service established in 1994.
We are committed to carrying out scientific research which, in all its variant forms from basic, biomedical, clinical to translational and public health, contributes significantly toward improving people’s health, minimizing burden of disease, containing healthcare cost, and, more importantly, improving quality of life
