MITS Study Collaborators Visit KHRC

The Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) in collaboration with the Research and Development Division of Ghana Health Service, the Bono East Regional Health Directorate and RTI International is conducting a study that seeks to use Minimal Invasive Tissue Sampling (MITS) procedures to help ascertain the cause of death among stillbirths, children under five and adults sixty years and above in the Kintampo North Municipality, Kintampo South District, Techiman South Municipal and Techiman North District within Bono East region of Ghana.
As part of the study, a team of collaborators from the RTI International visited KHRC from April, 24 to 28, 2023 to observe systems put in place by the Centre as per the study procedures and also to provide technical assistance in project planning and implementation in conducting MITS.
The collaborators comprised Tia Paganelli, Lindsay Parlberg and Waithera Mbau.
