KHRC @ 30 Celebration: KHRC mark 30 years of Global Health Impact with Local Hearts.

Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) is 30 years. Established in 1994, KHRC has played a pivotal role in conducting high-quality research that have led to changes in policies both locally and internationally. The theme for the celebration is “Three Decades of Global Health Impact with Local Hearts”.

To mark this significant milestone, a series of events have been planned, leading up to the grand durbar on the 14th of March, 2024, at the KHRC Tennis Ball Fore-court.

The celebration will be graced by distinguished guests, with the Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kuma Aboagye, serving as the Special Guest of Honour.

Leading up to the grand durbar, KHRC has organized a series of radio talk shows. The first talk was held on February 21, 2024. The second and third will be held on February 28 and March 5, 2024 respectively.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, an Open Day will be held on 4th & 5th March, 2024. A float and clean-up exercise have been planned for March 9th. The climax of the celebrations will be the Grand Durbar on March 14, 2024, where stakeholders, collaborators, community members and the general public will come together to celebrate KHRC.
