KHRC, represented by Dr. Sulemana Watara Abubakari, Ms. Theresa Tawiah and Mr. Edward Anane Apraku on October 26, 2022 attended a Stakeholders' workshop to validate a draft Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for the Cylinder Recirculation Model (CRM).
The workshop was held at the Conference Room of the Science and Technology Policy Research Institute (STEPRI)
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework is being developed to enable Government/National Petroleum Authority measure progress and impact of increased LPG access and use for cooking and other applications in Ghana over time as it pursues the national policy goal which is to ensure that a minimum of 50 percent of Ghanaians have access to safe, clean, and environmentally friendly LPG for increased domestic, commercial and industrial usage by 2030.
Additionally, the development of the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework is critical to the successful roll-out of the National Liquefied Petroleum Gas Promotion Programme (NLPGPP) in general and the Cylinder Recirculation Model (CRM), which is being reintroduced by the Government of Ghana as the delivery model for accelerating the uptake of LPG in Ghana.
In line with this, KHRC as a relevant and key stakeholder was invited to the workshop to help fine-tune and finalise the M&E Framework.
