KHRC Participates in the Ghana Health Service 2023 Research Dissemination Forum

The Kintampo Health Research Centre represented by some selected senior staff participated in the Ghana Health Service 2023 Research Dissemination Forum which took place on the 6th and 7th September, 2023, at the University of Ghana Medical Centre -Medical Stimulation and Training Centre
The National Health Research Dissemination Forum provides a platform for researchers and scientists to share their research findings with a large audience and an opportunity to align the findings to policy and practical implications with an overarching aim of generating evidence to support and improve health service delivery.
With the central theme of “Fostering Collaboration in Evidence Generation for Improved Service Delivery”, the forum featured insightful presentations from researchers, covering topics, including Non-Communicable Diseases, Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health, Infectious Diseases, Environmental Health as well as Emerging issues in Health Research Ethics. There were also presentations from policy makers, program managers, and key stakeholders of the Ghana Health Service.
The event witnessed active participation from all research centres under the Research and Development Division (RDD) of the Ghana Health Service (Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC), Navrongo Health Research Centre and Dodowa health research centre). Research officers from the regional health directorates across the country also participated in the meeting.
Prior to the two day forum, all research officers working under the Ghana Health Service, including those at the research centres, were also taken through a one-day orientation training at the University of Ghana Medical Centre, on the 5th of September 2023.
