KHRC PARTICIPATES IN CLIMATE CHANGE ASSESSMENT VALIDATION WORKSHOP

KHRC, represented by Dr. Sulemana Watara Abubakari partook in a climate change assessment validation workshop following an earlier workshop in August last year on climate assessment.

The workshop which was held on February 16, 2023 at the Kintampo Municipal Assembly Conference Hall was organized by the Environmental Protection Agency in partnership with the Kintampo Municipal Assembly.

As part of the workshop, KHRC made contributions to the validation exercise and proposed a research to seek funding to put in interventions to address the climate hazards identified in the Kintampo North Municipality.

The workshop identified bushfires as the main climate hazard in the Kintampo North Municipality, and it is as a result of hunting and bad agricultural practices.
