KHRC conducted a one day training for staff on a large maternal health research known as the AdOPT/PRiSMA study. The training was centered on Good Clinical Practice (GCP). The training, sponsored by the Bill and Melinda Gates equips staff to ensure the rights and safety of research.

The goal of AdOPT/PRiSMA study is to develop a harmonised data set to improve our understanding of pregnancy risk factors, vulnerabilities, and morbidity and mortality and to estimate the burden of these risk factors and outcomes in Low and Middle-Income Countries. Ultimately, these data will inform the development of innovative strategies to optimise pregnancy outcomes for mothers and their newborns.
