Dr. Sulemana Abubakari participates in GEOHealth Hub Training in Nairobi

The Global Environmental and Occupational Health (GEOHealth) hub brings together researchers from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia, the University of Nairobi in Kenya, and Makerere University in Uganda. The current second cycle of funding include partners from KHRC in Ghana and Research and Education Center for Development in Cameroon. The training activities have been expanded to include a monthly one-hour session for presentation of research-in-progress (RIP) and discussion of recent and significant articles (journal club). Dr. Abubakari made two presentations to the hub during the workshop held on March 6-9, 2024. The first presentation focused on activities of KHRC especially, Environmental Health Research and training needs as a GEOHealth training partner, and the second presentation shared experiences in key grant applications including that of the Wellcome Trust and NIH’s D43 and P20.
