Ghana Health Service and University of Health and Allied Sciences Committee to oversee implementation of Memorandum of Understanding between the service and the University - affiliation of the Research and Development Division of Ghana Health Service and Research Centres to University of Health and Allied Sciences.

Kintampo Health Research Centre of the Research and Development Division (RDD) of Ghana Health Service (GHS) is delighted to announce the inauguration of the committee to oversee implementation of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) between GHS and University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) – affiliation of RDD, GHS Headquarters and Research Centers namely, Kintampo Health Research Centre, Navrongo Health Research Centre and Dodowa Health Research Centre.
Inaugurated on 22 April 2024 in Accra, by the Director General of Ghana Health Service Dr. Patrick Kuma-Aboagye, the committee will oversee the implementation of defined guidelines and procedures outlined in the MOU for the provision of clinical, research and teaching experiences of mutual benefit for UHAS students enrolled in the programmes and for staff of GHS within UHAS. The only public university in Ghana established to train health professionals and practitioners.
Members of the committee comprised of experienced researchers, clinicians and faculty members. These members bring a vast range and much needed skills and experiences to assist in the Ghana Health Service and University of Health and Allied Sciences collaboration. Dr Abraham Oduro Director, Research and Development Division, GHS and Prof Frank Baiden Dean, FN Binka School of Public Health, UHAS will coordinate activities of the committee.
Present in the inauguration meeting are:
