KHRC Participates In the 9th CelebrateLAB® West Africa Conference Held In Abuja, Nigeria

The Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) participated in the 9th annual CelebrateLAB® West Africa Conference held in Abuja, Nigeria from April 25 to April 28, 2023. Dr. Dennis Adu-Gyasi, representing the Centre, presented at the "Research and Innovation in Africa" showcase, which aims is to provide opportunities for institutions to network and enable collaborations across countries, institutions and funders.
During his presentation, Dr. Adu-Gyasi showcased the Kintampo Health Research Centre, highlighting its history, key thematic research areas, capacity-building opportunities, among others. He also highlighted the Centre’s strategic collaborations and the impact these collaborations have had over the past 25 years. Leveraging on the capacity built through these collaborations, Dr. Adu-Gyasi elaborated on the impactful research conducted by the Centre, including malaria drugs and vaccines trials and other ongoing trials and research activities.
Furthermore, Dr. Adu-Gyasi elaborated on the role of leadership and community support in making KHRC impactful in the community and in facilitating the translation of research into policy. Based on the Centre's impressive track record and research showcased at the conference, he invited all stakeholders to collaborate with KHRC.
Overall, KHRC's participation in the CelebrateLAB® West Africa Conference was a valuable opportunity to showcase the centre's work and promote collaboration with other institutions.
